We've started an on-going commitment (via the lovely folks over at Plan) of sponsoring a gang of nippaz around the world who need a helping hand: From Brazil to Vietnam, Nepal to Sierra Leone, Honduras to India, and a bunch of other equally important places in between. Hopefully this way, as NWA continues its mission to outlaw kidswear featuring lace, velvet, smiling animals, fairies, and bow-ties, then the amount of folks we can help out will increase. Obviously a name was needed for such a programme, and damit there could only be one...N.W.AID.

The sponsorship can give these nippaz the opportunities they need to make the most of themselves, and over time they can become healthy and educated young folks with the power to transform their communities. Sponsorship starts with the basics; it can provide funds to build schools, train teachers, and provide textbooks to make sure nippaz learn practical skills which will benefit everyone. Among other things it can also help drill boreholes for clean water, so folks don’t die or get sick needlessly, and help the community build medical centres, latrines, and train community health workers.

If you want to find out more information about how the sponsorship works, and what's involved, then you can visit Plan's official website (www.plan-uk.org).

Senegal

Actor Larry Lamb recently took time out to visit his two sponsored children in Senegal, and take a look at Plan’s work in the area.
